0 5/5 eViolin - See all my reviews Highly recommended. I'm an experienced violin player (I have several decades of experience playing this instrument) and this violin plays, sounds and feels just like a regular acoustic violin. I use it a lot to practice at night so nobody hears me, it's IDEAL!Also important: the strings and bridge are regular components. So you can go to any violin shop to replace them should you need to do so at one point. 0 Help other customers find the most helpful reviews  Was this review helpful to you? , October 22, 2010

0 5/5 Monika Tahiri - See all my reviews Verified Purchase(What's this?) What should i say about this item more than "i am happy to receive this treasure of tecnologie in my hands". The sound is clear, and it has all the qualities of an accustic violin, it sounds very good in live performances and from the begining it gave me the comfort, like i used this violin for years, it became mine from the very begining. Im stronger and more comfortable now in my performances. 0 Help other customers find the most helpful reviews  Was this review helpful to you? , August 11, 2010

    Excelent instrument

0 5/5 Alexander C. - See all my reviews Verified Purchase(What's this?) This review is from: Yamaha SV-130 Concert Select Silent Electric Candy Apple Red 4/4 Violin I have several years studying violin. I bought this yamaha SV-130 and the sound is amazing. It has a beautiful design, good sound and is very versatile. I have another acoustic violin the Cremona 1260, it is an excellent violin. But when I compared the sound in D string between 2 violins, in the yamaha violin it sounds a little different. But in general this is a good instrument. I bought that I hope, a very good electrical violin. The case, bow and violin arrived in exclt conditions. 0 Help other customers find the most helpful reviews  Was this review helpful to you? , December 30, 2011

Clear sound, feels like an acoustic one and I can practice on silence. A couple of days ago I bought a Boss ME-25 and a 15W amp and .. oh man!! what a sound. I'm totally impressed with all the features and things i can do now with this violin.Con: A little expensive since the materials are mainly plastic. 0 Help other customers find the most helpful reviews  Was this review helpful to you? , July 19, 2014

    Great Quality Instrument!!

I have been playing violin for three years now and I felt it was time to take the plunge into the electric violin world. I was also looking for something relatively inexpensive since my main violin is on the higher end. This was the perfect choice.Sound - Try as it might, it just can't replicate the sound of an acoustic violin (which I wasn't looking for anyway). It can get pretty close though and all in all the sound is nice. The pickup is good, not the best quality but it does its job pretty well. As for being silent, it is quieter than an acoustic with a mute, but not completely silent.Construction/Look - The body is nice and solid unlike some of the cheap online instruments you can get. The finish is well done and the ebony pieces with mother of pearl inlays look rather nice. The inlays fall flush too, nothing sticking out at all. The pegs don't slip at all. The only thing I could find wrong with the construction was the bridge. It was a bit too high but... 5/5 Mike - See all my reviews Verified Purchase(What's this?) Perfect Violin for Me!

So, I haven't played the violin since grade school. And I rent a room in a house, so I was wanted a violin that would be quiet. So, I choose this one... Alas, it's not really "quiet" or silent (even with a mute). Its "quieter" than an acoustic. But still, due to the vibrations, it still gives off its own sound.I was looking for a inexpensive violin. But the other ones I checked out, looked like crap. They had a plastic body, which I am not into.I love the fact that this Cecilio has a wooden body with the mother of earl details. It actually looks much nicer in person, than the pictures. Smells great too (but then I love the smell of fresh cute wood and rosin... call me crazy). And the sound is great (to me anyways, as a beginner). And since it is new, I know that in a few years the sound will mature. (hence another reason I wanted a violin with a wooden body, not plastic).Buying this violin was a big step for me. Since, Electric violins are... 5/5 Latoya M Michel (Seattle, WA United States) - See all my reviews Verified Purchase(What's this?) Totally AMAZING! But I have a question about the bridge...

I love this violin so much, it sounds great and looks great. I'm not rating the bow. It's a typical cheap bow but it works just fine. My only issue with this thing has to do with the bridge. It is so oddly shaped... It slants upward, making the G string MUCH higher than the E. What I'm used to is a perfect arch for a bridge. The G and E are even, and the D and A are even, both slightly higher than the G and E. From what I understand, this gives a better ability to switch strings. I believe it. My acoustic violin is very easily played, perfect arch, and I love it. This electric I love also, but it's sooo hard not to hit the G string while playing the D, It just feels weird. I'm either gonna shave it down or have it replaced. Bridges only costs a few bucks, that's why I'm giving this instrument a 5 star. I do wonder though if there are any advantages to this Bridge design? Thanks in advance. As for the rest of it, totally amazing!!! It's surprising, the headphones feel really... 5/5 Jessica Hurd "Jessica Hurd" - See all my reviews, January 4, 2011
